About Our Business
Live Life Active
Our venue is the water that is so abundant in Florida. We wish to inspire people to Live Life Active through the adventures of kayaking and to take part in the local growing recreational kayaking and kayak fishing community. We are old school and want to be known for treating people the way we would like to be treated ourselves. It is our goal to provide the best possible customer service to every individual who blesses us with their patronage. Our family owned company wants to encourage people to spend quality time for themselves and with their families doing something that takes their mind from the day-to-day responsibilities and creates memories. Now, let us introduce ourselves.
Our History
We are family owned, husband and wife, and currently hail from the beautiful Nature Coast on the Gulf of America. Rob, a returning Florida native, and Susan,
transplanted here by her husband in 2010. Rob is a military veteran and a retired career firefighter/Battalion Chief and Susan a previous business owner and past PADI scuba instructor who also had a short stint in fire service (apparently just long enough to meet her husband ). We enjoy everything Florida, frequenting festivals, concerts, and outdoor events of all kinds. We enjoy our quiet time taking care of our property, but both have a strong attraction and love for the water, so a retirement venture sharing our love of the water only seemed appropriate. Operating from our property gives us the best of both.
Between the two of us, we are boaters, a professional scuba instructor, complete with life time dive buddy, and recreational kayakers, Rob also likes to fish, so sharing our love of our aquatic adventures is a big part of the business, although we could use some help in the fishing or rather, catching area. We love fun on the water, not only on the big boat, but paddling down the local rivers, springs, and out into the Gulf, tossing a line out to see if we're cooking our catch or going out to dinner :-), Like the saying goes - Do something you love and you'll never work another day in your life

At Bare Naked Kayaks, we don't only sell kayaks and accessories, we encourage individual and family fun. We sell opportunities to explore and enjoy a carefree, active lifestyle. To the best of our abilities we live by the statement "Live Life Active" and encourage others to do the same. We believe what sets us apart from others is we don't just want to sell you any old kayak to get your money.
